Organized by the Research Center for Comparative Studies of Latin America (CiECAL) in conjunction with the Association of Hispanists of Egypt (HEg)

 The Association of Hispanists of Egypt (in Arabic: رابطة علماء الاسباني من مصر), is an organization created in 1968 in Cairo, Egypt, at the request of the then Cultural Counselor of the Spanish Embassy this African country, Mr. Ángel Ballesteros. With relations with Latin American countries

14 International Congress Challenges of Hispanism today

LINES OF WORK can follow the proposals in the 6th International Conference on Educational Research and Innovation for the participants in the 16th Conference (so that they can present the same paper)

For the speakers who participate exclusively in the 14th Congress, the lines of work are the following (the same ones that took place in the 13th Congress, held last year, are indicated until the current 14th Congress can be included soon):

1 Challenges for linguistic studies in the 21st century

2 Novelties in literary studies (Spanish and Latin American literature) and its relationship with classical themes

3 Contributions of cultural studies (orientalism, feminism, etc.)

4 New tools for translation studies and translation studies

5 New horizons in historical studies and their relationship with the turn that caused covid 19

RULES OF PARTICIPATION

OBJECTIVES

The different online and face-to-face congresses organized by CiECAL aim to combine the methodological exposition or analytical reasoning of research from any area of knowledge on a specific aspect, separately or together (disciplinary, inter and multidisciplinary), of the Social Sciences and the Humanities.

RECIPIENTS

Researchers, teachers and postgraduate and undergraduate students of the themes of the  congreso convened.

RULES OF PARTICIPATION

The contributions presented at the congress can benefit from the two contemplated modalities:

- Free theme papers.

- Papers linked to each of the Symposiums of the respective congresses.

Participation in these congresses is open to any researcher, teacher and student of the Bachelor of Social Sciences, Humanities and Education, for which they must register through the link "Abstract registration" or email 

sending a summary of the paper before the date indicated in each congress, indicating the Symposium to which your proposal is attached or be integrated into free topics. In any case, they must be unpublished and of a scientific or professional nature.

The papers accepted by each table president must be complete and sent before the deadline indicated for each congress. The number of contributions will not exceed two for the same person or work team, regardless of their modality. The contributions will be in Spanish and will be accompanied by the professional address and a brief curriculum (maximum ten lines of text). It is planned to make available to the participants the audiovisual and computer resources necessary for the presentation of the different contributions. It will be appreciated if the type of resources to be used is communicated in advance.

GUIDELINES FOR SUMMARIES FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE PRESENTIAL AND/OR ONLINE CONGRESS

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SUMMARIES

The abstract of the paper must have a minimum length of 10 and a maximum of 30 lines, including the title, name of the author or authors, academic organizations to which they belong, and email of each of the authors of the paper. presentation. GUIDELINES FOR THE PRESENTATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE PRESENTIAL AND/OR ONLINE CONGRESS

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TEXTS OF THE PRESENTATIONS

The text must consist of a summary and abstract, three to five keywords, text with or without conclusions, without references or footnotes with footnotes (which would be useful for the presentation of the paper online, but not for the face-to-face Congress) and bibliography at the end of the text (Harvard type: in the text and at the end of the presentation, not at the bottom of the page). Between 5,000 and 40,000 characters with spaces, including references. DINA4 size or letter size. Left-right-top-bottom margins 2 cm. Calibri 11 pt font. Line spacing 1.5 points. With citations and bibliography according to Harvard regulations. The digital version must be sent in a Word file. Microsoft Word 6.0 or later processor. PROOF

All speakers will be given a "Certificate of Participation" to the Congress, signed and with the logo of the organizing Institutions: Research Center for Comparative Studies of Latin America and Association of Hispanists of Egypt

A "Certificate of Participation" will be given to the Speakers and table presidents, as well as a "Certificate of Attendance" to the registered public.

Attendance is free (without proof, to receive proof you must register).

In the online and face-to-face Congresses, all the speakers will be given a "Participation Certificate" to the Congress, signed and with the logo of (all) the organizing Institution(s) and collaborator(s).

The record and the rights to be able to present the paper for its possible publication will be granted to the participants who have registered. All notifications about the reception of abstracts, full text and resolution of the Scientific Committee will be made by email.

PROPOSAL FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THE PRESENTATION AND CONFERENCE IN A COLLECTIVE BOOK ON A THEME OF THE MULTICONGRESS CONGRESS

The speaker or lecturer must present the text with which they have participated in the congress complying  with the formats requested for publication ("Book Publication Rules"), after having been accepted in the arbitration, by blind peers, and having confirmed their selection by the organizing committee or the director of the congress, the author must provide financial support for the Research Center for Comparative Studies of Latin America (not directly to the book or magazine), for the edition of the collective book on a subject dealt with in the Congress, which are published with the institutional support (not economic) of different academic and research institutions of national and international prestige.

The authors of collective texts must support the edition individually, that is, each of the co-authors must face the same type of support of $4,500.00 as authors of book chapters.

The paper can be proposed to be published as a book chapter following the non-substantive guidelines established in the "Book Publication Rules"; On the other hand, for publication as an article, it cannot be done with the text of the paper, but must be totally original. In both cases the texts are arbitrated, but for the collective book, having been previously selected to participate in the Congress makes it easier to be admitted to be part of said book. 

In collective texts, each of the authors must provide economic support for the edition individually and with the same amount as the rest of the co-authors. Thank you

Participation with scholarship for registrations made in Cairo

There is the option of participating as a speaker and registering in Cairo at the 16th Congress of CiECAL and HEg, for this you must send the title of the presentation, the name and surnames, the institution in which you work or study to ciecal@centro-ciecal .org and on the day of the congress, November 16, you have to register on-site, in the city of Cairo, 650 Egyptian pounds, which entitles you to participate in the Congress and receive the Certificate of Speaker.
